Weds 17.07.2019:
Morning tea stop in Apple Tree Creek.
We've been given a lovely spot down the back of the van park, by the lake.
Our lunch time view ⬆
Went for a walk exploring, 3.8kms of beautiful views.
Dinner was in the camp kitchen followed by a few hours around the campfire, including toasting marshmallows.
Thursday 18.07.2019:
We went for another walk, 2.7kms, in a different direction this morning. The views were stunningly beautiful. It was windy and the 'surf' was up.
Lots of huts and picnic areas along the waters edge.
After lunch the wind dropped so Gunther put the canoes in and we all had a paddle.
Lilly pilly fruit we found.
After dinner in the camp kitchen again, we toasted a couple of marshmallows again.
Friday 19.07.2019:
I went for a short walk before breakfast this morning, 1.5kms. Saw whiptail/ pretty faced wallabies.
Then we packed up and headed to Calliope. After a coffee we went exploring on foot, 3.6kms. Not a lot to see.
View from up a hill ⬆
War Memorial ⬆ & ⬇beautiful flowers in the streets.
Then we moved on to the Boynedale bush camp for the night. This was on the other side of the lake.
Our view out the front window of the cubby house ⬇
Gunther went for another paddle
Sunset was gorgeous.
Markie made an awesome camp fire which we toasted marshmallows in again ☺. Lots of laughter, food and drinks made for a memorable night.
Saturday 20.07.2019:
Cold and foggy when I went for a walk this morning, 1.3kms. It made for an amazing sunrise.
Looking back towards the campground⬇
Packed and headed for home with a quick coffee stop at Bororen.⬇ Some of the locals. This small town had 3 cafés.
We were home in time to start unpacking, shower and head out to dinner.
